Chakka/Jackfruit is a seasonal fruit in Kerala but you can still enjoy this chakka vattal/chips all the year around. Jack fruit is found in every backyard in Kerala and there are lot of recipes with it.The unripe ones are used in curries or fried to make chips and ripe one are enjoyed as it is or preserved as chakka varatti or chakka jam. This chips is made with unripe jack fruit and is a crispy and crunchy snack.It is sometimes served along with banana chips in sadhya. So I am posting this easy chips for Onam.
